Lumeca provides 24-7 on-demand access to Canadian licensed Doctors and Nurses through text and video chat for people and business.

Our services are available for residents of Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan families, individuals and businesses. We accept payment from those who are 18 years of age or older. If you are under the age of 18, please consult your parent or guardian.

Currently, Lumeca is available for Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan residents. For Lumeca members, we are just a text or video call away, no matter where you are in the world.

Most medical fees and memberships are covered under health spending accounts or other benefits. Please consult your insurance provider to confirm if they will cover your fees.

Yes, Lumeca members are covered when they are travelling out of Country! Please ensure you have a stable internet connection for your call.

We do not replace your family doctor. If you choose to provide your written permission for us to do so, we will work in conjunction with your family doctor and complement their services. This team-based approach allows us to collaborate on treatment and share relevant information, when necessary, in order to better serve you. However, if you do not have a family doctor, we can also provide many of the services you may need.

Your prescription will be faxed to your pharmacy of choice where you can pick it up at your earliest convenience. Or if your prescription is filled before noon, you can choose same day free delivery service.

Telemedicine is safe and effective. Lumeca Doctors can accurately diagnose many common illnesses and injuries without a hands-on examination. Examples include, but are not limited to: abrasions, bruises, and minor cuts; acne; allergies, upper respiratory infections; bacterial vaginosis; insect bites and stings; nasal congestion, flus, fever, and sore throats; nausea, and vomiting; diarrhea; erectile dysfunction; frostbite, hives, and skin infections; sinus infections; headaches and migraines; insomnia; pink eye or itchy eyes; lice; prescription refills; sprains and strains; urinary tract infections (UTIs); travel medications; and many more. They are also able to write sick notes for school or work, when appropriate.

It is the duty of our Privacy Officer and entire team at Lumeca to protect your health information by ensuring we comply with the Health Information Act and Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Our team safeguards all data so that it is safe, secure, and encrypted. Our privacy policy describes our commitment to protecting your privacy. We encourage all of our clients to read this policy in detail. All clients have full control and ownership over their personal health information at all times. Our staff does not share any medical information without explicit client consent.

For monthly subscriptions, an e-mail cancellation to info@lumeca.ca will result in no further recurring billing. Your final bill will be prorated from the date of cancellation. After cancellation, you can return at any time, or choose the pay-per-visit option.

When registering keep it simple! Add your family member to your account. Please note that non-dependant entries will be prompted to enter a personal email address to receive an invitation to the service and also to ensure client confidentiality.
